Traveling – and travel medicine – has always been one of my greatest passions. I am a German physician living with my family in Brazil, and I truly enjoy supporting other “gringos” – fellow expatriates or travelers just passing through.

With personal experience on every continent, I know first-hand the health challenges, both big and small, that can arise when you are far from home. Falling ill abroad often feels more complicated – whether because of the absence of your trusted doctors, language barriers, long waiting times, or uncertainty in navigating an unfamiliar healthcare system.

Cultural differences can sometimes lead to inadequate, excessive, or unnecessarily expensive treatments. And often, nothing more than an unfamiliar tropical disease – or even just different brand names of common medications – is enough to cause confusion and concern.

My approach is safe, multilingual, and accessible: helping you quickly identify the real issue and determine the most appropriate treatment – either directly with me (in the vast majority of cases) or, when necessary, through referral to trusted hospitals and healthcare providers.

As a fully integrated physician within Brazil’s national healthcare system, I can issue medical documentation, medical certificates, referrals, and test requests digitally – with convenient delivery by e-mail or WhatsApp all over Brazil.
